Three Vibrant Fanzones Announced for the 2025 Gravel World Championships

Fanzones

On October 11 and 12, 2025, South Limburg will host the 2025 Bolero UCI Gravel World Championships. The event promises not only world-class racing but also an unforgettable experience for fans, with three official fanzones located along the course. Each offers a unique atmosphere where spectators can come together to enjoy the thrill of gravel racing live.

Beek – Start and Multiple Passages

Sportpark De Haamen in Beek will be the center of the action, serving as the official start location and featuring three race passages. With the loop tackled several times, this is the place where spectators will see both the elite riders and qualified amateurs most frequently throughout the weekend. When the peloton is not in sight, fans can follow the race on a giant screen while enjoying the lively atmosphere.

As title partner of the World Championships, Bolero, the Belgian investment platform, will make the Beek fanzone a true hotspot for Belgian supporters. While Dutch “Oranje” dominates much of the course, Bolero is calling on Belgian fans to unite in its fanzone and cheer on the national riders. With Belgian beer on tap and festive fan items, the zone promises to be a spectacle in itself.

The Beek fanzone will also host the Shimano United In Gravel Expo, where visitors can explore the latest innovations in cycling technology, gear, and equipment from leading and local brands.

Wijnandsrade Castle – Passages in a Historic Setting

The square in front of Wijnandsrade Castle offers perhaps the most picturesque viewing spot along the course. Riders will pass by several times before entering the castle courtyard, giving fans multiple chances to catch the action. Between race moments, visitors can enjoy live music, children’s entertainment, and food and drinks in a festive setting.

Paul Heuvels on behalf of the Municipality of Beekdaelen: “We are proud that the fan zone at Wijnandsrade is officially part of this world championship. It promises to be a special weekend with involvement from both local associations and local residents. The  unique atmosphere around the castle offers visitors not only top sport, but also a festive experience in a historic setting.”

Maastricht – The Finish Line

The finale will unfold at Koningsplein on De Groene Loper in Maastricht, where fans can witness the dramatic conclusion as the new world champion crosses the line and receives the coveted rainbow jersey. After the riders descend from the hills of Beek and Beekdaelen, thousands of spectators will gather here for the podium ceremony. Throughout the weekend, the Maastricht fanzone will offer live race coverage on big screens, food and drinks, and live music before, during, and after the competition — making it the ultimate place to celebrate the new world champions.
