Qualification & registrations

Qualification

According to the official qualification system for the 2025 UCI Gravel World Championships, each UCI Gravel World Series event offers all riders who finish in the first 25% of their category the opportunity to qualify for the UCI Gravel World Championships.

Find the calendar of qualifying races here:

The 25% is calculated based on the number of starters in each age category and not on the number of riders who finished the race.

In addition, the first three riders in each official category will qualify directly for the World Championships regardless of the number of starters in that age group. Riders must finish the race to qualify.

For all other qualification methods (wildcards, national gravel champions, etc.), please refer to the official qualification system for the UCI World Gravel Championships 2025.

Are you qualified but haven’t received an invitation? First, check your spam box. If the invitation email isn’t there, then send an email to: info@ucigravelworldseries.com.

Registration

The names of riders who have qualified through the UCI Gravel World Series will be published on the Gravel World Series website and will receive an official email from the UCI inviting them to register through the dedicated online registration portal.

Age groups

The UCI Gravel World Series event must provide results for the following age groups, for both women and men:

  • ELITE MEN
  • ELITE WOMEN
  • 19 – 34y
  • 35 – 39y
  • 40 – 44y
  • 45 – 49y
  • 50 – 54y
  • 55 – 59y
  • 60 – 64y
  • 65 – 65y
  • 70 – 74y
  • 75 – 79y

(Any higher category of 5 years for which riders have registered).

Age groups applicable to the UCI Gravel World Series are defined by the rider’s age on 31 December of the year of the qualifying race. Riders who qualify after the World Championships for next year’s World Championships and change age groups the following year will automatically carry their qualification over to the next age group and therefore do not have to re-qualify in their new age group in the year of the World Championships. According to the rules governing the UCI Gravel World Championships, medals and titles are awarded for men and/or women as soon as 1 rider is entered in the respective 5-year age group.

Elite riders from a UCI registered team must always compete in the elite category.

Nationally licensed elite riders have the choice of starting in the elite category or in their respective age category, but they must make that choice
