Beekdaelen

With 15 unique cores, Beekdaelen, one of the largest rural municipalities in South Limburg, is the region’s green lung for a reason. Its landscape is not only beautiful, but also functional—productive, healthy, socially connected, and supported by a strong sense of community and collaboration.

Hundreds of local associations and many volunteers contribute daily to that connection. Traditions and heritage are cherished, while new ambitions are actively pursued. Beekdaelen offers ample space for meeting, relaxing, and entrepreneurship.

The landscape is a vibrant mosaic of plateaus, countless gravel paths, and stream valleys, shaped over centuries by loess soil, erosion, and human land use. It features a small-scale structure, standard orchards, grafted trees and hedgerows. In short, it is a living foundation for living, working, agriculture, recreation (with numerous walking and cycling routes, including the highly acclaimed Beekdaelenroute) and biodiversity.

Beekdaelen, a place where both young and old feel at home, is proud to welcome the 2025 Bolero UCI Gravel World Championships on October 11 and 12!
